“Inheriting the spirit of water”

The town of Nagai is a city deeply connected with nature. The rivers that flow through the city bless the countryside and crops.

The ‘gods of water’ are also shown respect every year through the famous Black Lion Dancing Festival (黒獅子まつり) in May – a symbol of the city that symbolizes the city’s deep connection with its surrounding nature.
